    BaseZap is a Farcaster mini app that lets you send instant USDC tips on Base L2. You can tip any Farcaster user by their username or a cast link — no complicated wallet setup or token swaps required. Tips settle on Base mainnet in approximately 2 seconds with a network fee of less than \$0.01.

  <Accordion title="Do I need a Farcaster account to use BaseZap?">
    Yes. BaseZap is built for the Farcaster ecosystem. You send tips by entering a Farcaster username or pasting a cast link. Both the sender and the recipient need a Farcaster account associated with a Base-compatible wallet address.

  <Accordion title="What wallet do I need?">
    You need any Base-compatible wallet. BaseZap supports the following wallets:

    * **Base Smart Wallet** — the recommended option for new users
    * **MetaMask** — switch to Base network (Chain ID: 8453) before connecting
    * **Rainbow** — switch to Base network before connecting
    * **Farcaster built-in wallet** — available directly inside Farcaster clients

    Make sure your wallet is connected to Base mainnet before you attempt to tip.

    You need **USDC on Base mainnet**. BaseZap uses USDC as its tipping currency. You do not need VVV tokens to send tips — VVV is an optional, separate feature. Make sure the USDC in your wallet is on Base (not Ethereum mainnet), as the two are separate assets.

  <Accordion title="How much does it cost to tip?">
    BaseZap charges a **2% platform fee** on every tip. This fee is shown upfront before you confirm the transaction — there are no hidden charges. In addition, Base network gas fees apply, but these are less than **\$0.01 per transaction** on Base mainnet.

    For example, if you send a $1.00 tip, you receive a clear breakdown: the recipient gets $0.98 USDC, the platform fee is $0.02 USDC, and the network gas fee is under $0.01.

  <Accordion title="What tip amounts are available?">
    BaseZap offers four preset tip amounts — **$0.10, $0.50, $1, and $5** — so you can tip with a single tap. You can also enter a custom amount if you want to send something different. The fee breakdown updates automatically as you change the amount.

  <Accordion title="How fast do tips settle?">
    Tips settle on Base mainnet in approximately **2 seconds**. The recipient receives USDC instantly once the transaction confirms — there is no waiting period, no claiming step, and no manual action required on their end.

  <Accordion title="Does the recipient need to do anything?">
    No. Funds land directly in the recipient's wallet the moment the transaction confirms. The recipient does not need to claim, approve, or take any action. As long as their Farcaster account is linked to a valid wallet address on Base, the USDC appears automatically.

  <Accordion title="Is BaseZap non-custodial?">
    Yes. BaseZap is fully non-custodial and never holds your funds at any point. Every tip is a direct on-chain transfer from your wallet to the recipient's wallet. You approve every transaction yourself in your own wallet, and you remain in control of your assets at all times.

  <Accordion title="What is VVV staking?">
    VVV staking is an optional, separate feature inside BaseZap powered by **Venice AI** ([venice.ai](https://venice.ai)). It is not required for tipping — you can use BaseZap to send USDC tips without ever interacting with VVV. If you choose to use it, you stake VVV tokens on Base mainnet via the staking contract at `0x8C1c...3ba3`. Like tipping, VVV staking is non-custodial: your tokens remain under your control and you approve all staking transactions — including the required approval step — in your own wallet.

  <Accordion title="Can I see my transaction history?">
    Yes. Every BaseZap transaction is recorded on Base mainnet and is publicly verifiable. To view your transaction history, go to [basescan.org](https://basescan.org) and search by your wallet address or a specific transaction hash. All tips, including the 2% platform fee routed to the fee wallet, are visible on-chain.

    Yes. BaseZap includes a leaderboard that highlights the **top tip senders** and **top tip earners** across the platform. The leaderboard updates in real time based on on-chain activity and is visible on the main page at [basefarcaster.vercel.app](https://basefarcaster.vercel.app).

    BaseZap operates exclusively on **Base mainnet** — an Ethereum Layer 2 network built by Coinbase. Base combines low transaction costs (under \$0.01) with fast settlement (\~2 seconds) and the security of Ethereum.
